How to run a full scan of your computer using Microsoft Defender
First, locate the “carat” located on your taskbar (up arrow) and click on it
When clicked, you’ll see the Microsoft Defender Shield icon
Right-click the shield icon, select “View security dashboard”. When that opens, you’ll see the “Security at a glance” window. Click on “Virus & threat protection”
In the next window, click on “Scan options”
In the “Scan options” window, change the selection from “Quick scan” to “Full scan” and then click on “Scan now”
The ITS team will be able to track any issues the scan uncovers in the Microsoft Security console. Please check back with us with any concerns.
