Overview

Nazareth University faculty, staff and students can now add a recovery phone (cell phone) to their MyNaz account settings.  This will allow users to reset their MyNaz password in the event the password is forgotten or if the password expires.

 

Adding a Recovery Phone

  1.  Visit https://authx.naz.edu
  2. Click on Account Settings
  3. Login with your current MyNaz credentials
  4. Under Account & Password Recovery, click the pencil icon next to Recovery Phone number
     

 

  1. Enter your phone number ( including Area code) and click Send Verification.  Your phone should receive a code in about a minute.
  2. Enter the code in the bottom field next to Confirm Recovery phone.

 

 

FAQs

Q: How long are the codes good for?
A: They are good for 5 minutes.

Q: Does capitalization of letters matter?
A: No, you can enter the codes in either capital, lower case or mixed.

Q: What formats are valid for phone numbers?
A: Phone numbers must contain 10 digits. Most input formats should work.

Q: Is the phone number monitored that sends the codes out?
A: No, this phone is not monitored.

Q: I didn’t receive a code when trying to recover my password, or add my recovery phone.
A: Please reach out to IT for further assistance.
