First Steps for Exam Takers

Minimum System Requirements
Currently, Examplify is compatible only with Mac, PC Windows, and iPad operating systems. For more details on the minimum system requirements for your device, please check this support article.
Please Note: Examplify will not run on Chromebook, Android, or Linux operating systems.
Installing Examplify for Windows, Macintosh and Ipad
This article explains how to download and install Examplify on both Mac and PC. Before downloading Examplify, Mac users should review the section titled "Notes for Mac Users Before Downloading Examplify" to ensure they choose the right version for their device.

Notes for Mac Users Before Downloading Examplify
Important: There are two different Examplify clients for Mac computers based on the type of processor. One is for Macs with an ARM processor, and the other is for those with an Intel processor. If you're not sure which processor your Mac has, please follow the steps below:
- Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner.
- Select About This Mac.
- Look at the Processor or Chip line.
If you see “Apple M1,” “M2,” “M3,” etc. you have an Apple Silicon or ARM processor
If it says “Intel Core i5/i7/i9,” “Xeon,” etc. you have an Intel-based processor
Updating Examplify on your Device
If there are updates available, you will be asked to update the next time you open Examplify. It is advisable for students to open Examplify well before an exam to see if an update is necessary. For more details on updates, please check the Updates to Examplify article.
