Resolution

  • Check Your Privacy Settings:

    • Windows:

      • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
      • Make sure "Allow apps to access your camera" is on.
      • Scroll down to give the specific app you're using permission to access the camera.
    • Mac:

      • Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab.
      • Click Camera in the sidebar and ensure the app you're using is checked to allow access.
  • Update Your Webcam Driver:

    • Windows:

      • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
      • Find "Cameras," right-click your webcam, and choose "Update driver."
      • Select "Search automatically for updated driver software."
    • Mac:

      • MacOS usually updates drivers automatically. Check by going to Apple menu > About This Mac > Software Update.
  • Check the Webcam's Physical Connection:

    • For external webcams, make sure the USB connection is secure. Try different USB ports if necessary.
  • Restart Your Computer:

    • A quick reboot can often fix temporary software glitches affecting your webcam.
  • Check for Application-Specific Settings:

    • Ensure the correct webcam is selected in the settings of the application you're using.
  • Disable and Re-enable the Webcam:
